We woke up and I remembered that our wedding was today. I quickly got up leaving Jory to sleep. I grabbed my dress and put it on, "Jory, wake up. Its our wedding today." I gently touched his shoulder, "You should take a shower and get ready for today." He mumbled something and I went to the kitchen. Grandpa was the first to come.
"Hey grandpa! Nice look you got there." I couldn't help but wonder if he was more famous then me, "Where's grandma? Is she okay?"
"Thanks, you look so beautiful in that dress. Blaire is still walking up the walkway. She is getting really old you know." He stopped and opened the door. In came Grandma.
"Nice to see you again Sadie." She coughed and bent over to catch her breath, "Lots of people arrived." Grandma doubled over then she clutched her stomach, "I think its my time to go." She stood up and looked me in the eye, smiled then turned to Grandpa.
We all watch as grandma slowly lifts off the ground horrified. My guests all turned there eyes on the death that was happening. She raised higher and higher, struggling to fight onto life.
She flopped back down to the floor and looked into grandpa's eyes. We all heard a sorrow filled wail as grandma realized she lost the fight with death. The stood there looking at each other.
Grandpa burst into tears, "I-I-I will b-b-be up there with y-y-you soon." He reached out to touch her hand but his hand went through her's.
Grandma looked confused and I couldn't blame her. She looked around at all of us and saw that we were all staring. Her gaze rested on mine. I tried to keep myself together but I couldn't manage it.
I gasped and clutched my hands together. Hoping I was having one of my dreams. Her gaze was empty and she looked back at the floor.
I lost it. I couldn't stop thinking about how I could have spent more time with her, with them. I felt like it was my fault. I wanted to hide from the crowd.
My hands fluttered to my face and I sobbed into them. The sound of people sniffling was stopped and the room went cold. I wanted to know what was happening but I wasn't done crying. My eyes felt like they where being lifted to were grandma was.
I glanced up and I started to shake. Grim was here and there was nothing that would stop him for coming to get my grandma. I felt like my insides where melting and I tried to pull my eyes away. I couldn't, so I watched in horror what happened.
Grandpa looked at grim then started to cry, "Grim! Please let her live to see-" He was cut short as Grim glared at him. I was terrified and I found my hands fluttering by my face.
"Let him talk Grim." My voice came out strong and powerful. Grim looked at me and I felt a weight trying to keep my mouth shut. I pushed back, not wanting him to win my grandma.
"Look-" I pushed through with all my might, "There's no-" I gasped for breath. I shook my head and fought with all my might, "There's no harm in letting people talk. None at all." I motioned to my grandpa, "Let him talk." My lips quivered and I waited for Grim to respond.
"The woman can talk for herself, mortal." He glared at me and I nodded.
Grandma got down on her knee's and started to beg, "If you would just let me live to see her wedding, I would be more then grateful."
Grim spoke with a bone chilling force, "That's not how it works. Now hurry up and come to the other side peacefully."
I willed Grim to let her stay, but nothing could stop Grim.
"Please, just one second?" grandma was barley audible. I wiped my tears away and looked away.
Grandma's face twisted up and she let out a loud, sorrow filled wail. Her face looked like she was crying and I wanted to go over there and make her happy. Grims booming voice made her stop. He talked in an ancient tongue while swooping his scythe around. He finished and swung the scythe through grandma.
I cried and shook, watching my grandmother being shoved into something she didn't want. I pulled away and closed my eyes. She's gone. Nothing you can do now. I opened my eyes and went over to grandpa, hoping that maybe I could cheer him up.
He hugged me, "You should have your wedding sweet-heart." I pulled away and nodded. I motioned Jory to come over to where I stood.
"Let's get married, have a wonderful life." a tear went down my face.
"You sure?" Jory's hand touched mine.
"I'm sure."
We said our vows and exchanged our rings. Grandpa cheered us on and our guests shouted and made a ruckus.
We finally kissed. Our lives where finally entwined with each others. We said bye to our guests and started to clean the house.

Chapter 1.4: Coo's with I Love You's
The look on Jory's face was priceless, and it only got better when I opened up that box. That solid gold band with a beautiful shimmering diamond attached cost me most of my paycheck. I opened the box and smiled a goofy and maybe joyful smile.
Jory almost fainted. He burst out in giddy joy, hopping all over, "Sadie! Of course I'll marry you!" I grabbed the ring from the box. I took his hand and singled out his ring finger. I put on the ring.
He looked at the ring in awe. A tear ran down his face. I stood up and brushed the grass off my dress. "I love you Jory."
"I love you too." He took one last look at the ring.
I filled our hug with pure love, "You want to go to my place or yours?" I whispered into his ear.
"Your place." He took my hand and we started walking. We finally got to my place and led him into my room. Sure, we did that a few days ago but I was sure that my bed was more comfy.
We fell asleep. Well, he did. I didn't. I ran to the bathroom every 2 hours. Must be catching that darn flu. I went back to bed and started to drift off.
A little girl with little blond piggy tails sat next to a woman that looked like? Like me? I walked around them and saw that they were holding a photo album. The child pointed to a picture of them and smiled. I was shocked. I had that picture put in a box. I got this weird feeling and looked at the child's eyes. They were a gorgeous green that only one person would have. Me. The child was me and the woman was my mother. I stepped back and looked at the woman. She was wearing a layered shirt with sweats. She stood up and I saw a small bump. Was she pregnant? She looked down and smiled.
I woke up to Jory pushing me, "Sadie I gotta go. See you later babe."
I rolled over and looked at him, "At the park at noon?" He nodded and left. I got up and went to the kitchen and puttered around. Trying to figure out my dreams. I looked at my stomach and shook my head. It couldn't be. I must have gained weight. But then I felt it. A small kick. I almost started crying. What would Jory say about this. I went and grabbed a dress that would hide my bump. Noon came around and I went to the park filled with worry. I looked around and saw him. I started to walk over.
"Jory? We have to talk." I smiled and he looked at my dress.
"Nice dress, flowers look really good on you." He gazed at me, "So what do you want to talk about?"
"Well, you know how we- Uhh-" I stumbled on the words. I took a deep breath.
"Jory, I'm pregnant with your child." I almost blurted.
"That's great! A child of our own!" A weight lifted from my shoulders. He wanted the child. Jory looked at the time, "I better get going. The police department called. They want me to join their forces!" I congratulated him and went home. I walked around back and went to the garden. It took me a long time but it was worth while.
I planted a few more plants and watered the rest. I got up and gazed down. A few more days. Then I will get to meet you. I get up and go to bed, tossing and turning because my tummy was in the way. I finally drifted off to sleep only to wake up a few hours later. I think my water broke! What do I do! I got up and made the bed.
I left the room and called Jory, "Jory!-The baby!-Its coming.-Meet at-Hospital." I huffed and puffed in pain. I grabbed my bike determined not to use a car. I finally got there with my legs on fire. I looked around for Jory. He must be inside.
I went in and waited for Jory. He came just in time to see our child be born. The pain almost knocked me out but I managed to cling to consciousness. Round one done. Round two. I couldn't believe our luck. Jory took April and I took Rose. Jory got into the cab and I looked at him, "I'm not getting in that thing." Then I looked down at rose and realized that I could do nothing to stop the fact that I couldn't ride my bike. I slipped into the taxi and looked at our little girls.
Jory and I sat in silence as we waited to stop by our home. We arrived and went inside, "Jory, I don't have a nursery. I couldn't find the money to build one. Plus there is only one crib." I walked to the counter where my purse was, "All I have is about $300 left." I sighed and Jory offered to buy the other crib.
I set Rose down on the floor.
My little Rose laid on the floor waiting for her crib to be bought. I took April from Jory and ushered him outside, "Go get a crib for Rose." I turned around and walked over the the blue crib I bought.
I sat down April and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek. I went and grabbed Rose and picked up the phone, "Hey guys! Do you want to come to my Wedding party tomorrow? Its at 9:00." I hung up and waited for Jory. He came with the exact same crib I had. I put my little Rose in and went to bed, "You can join if you like?" Jory followed and we fell asleep.

Chapter 1.3: Will You Be My Valentine?
I stirred around the house doing mindless things, wondering if someone saw me screaming like a lunatic. I glanced at the clock and decided that maybe I should get to bed. I lay down and shut my eyes trying, oh so desperately trying to calm the thoughts that whirred in my mind. I wished that mom was still around. She always sang to me when I couldn't sleep. I sighed and turned over.
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP
I roll over and glare at the alarm clock. -Jeez, 6:30? What was I thinking.- I pull back the covers and stretch a bit. The world seemed a bit fuzzy to me, and I found myself staring at my bed. I shook off my drowsiness and walked to the shower. -A nice hot shower or a cold shower?- I twist the cold tap and hop in hoping that the cold shower would wake me up. It did. I emerge with goosebumps the size of golf-balls, I grab my freshly washed clothes and go outside. -The sun is nice and warm.- I stand there soaking up some rays. I glance over at my pathetic garden and simply wonder if I should stop.
The commute to Jory's house was pretty far, but it didn't take to long. I got off my bike and sucked in a breath. -What if he thinks I'm a stalker or something?- I pause at the walkway and think about what to say. I stride up the path and the door opens up, and I see a gorgeous face within, "Sadie! I thought that was you! Come in, come in." Jory ushered me inside and shut the door. "It's so good to see you again." He pulled me closer and I smiled a childish smile.
We kiss and I pull him closer, wishing that we could become one. Jory pulled away and lightly grabbed my arm, "Follow me." I wasn't to sure where we were going but I didn't really care at the moment. Jory lead me to his bedroom and invited me to lay down. We must have talked till the sun went down. We soon fell asleep.
I awoke to the thought that someone was staring at me. I opened my eyes and stared at him. I looked great even after a long nights sleep.
"Morning Jory," I croaked and I cleared my throat, "How was your sleep?" I pulled myself ontop of the covers and he does the same.
"I slept like a baby. You kept me warm all night." He smiled his heart melting smile, and pulled me close. I knew what would happen next.
"Jory, I'm not to sure. I don't want to have a baby yet." I stammered incoherently.
"Oh, Sadie! It will be fine! Its just a harmless woo-hoo." I looked into his eyes and I saw pure love. I took a deep breath and told him that it was fine.
We took the plunge, Jory and I. The deed left me prancing around the place. I got my morning routine done and told Jory that I had to go visit my mother. I left the house happy, and got on my bike. The trip to Grandma and Grandpa's almost killed me. My legs where on fire and so was my throat. I walked up to the house and knocked on the door. No one answered and I figured that they must be sleeping so I used my key that was kept under the planter. I silently walked in and looked around. I slowly walked over to Grandma and Grandpa's room to see if they where home. They where sleeping peacefully. I looked at the clock and left a note on the table telling them that I went to my room.
I must have slept till noon. The sun was shining through the window and I couldn't help but miss the place a bit. I got up and a note was left for me.
Sadie,
Alex and I went to Bridgeport for a farmers market. We hope to sell our prized grapes! We won't be back till tomorrow. We love you and miss you lots.
Blaire and Alex.
I took the note and put it in my pocket. I picked up my cell called Jory. "Hey Jory, I was wondering if you would like to go out? Maybe to the bistro? Okay! See you there!" I hung up and hurried to the bathroom. I fixed myself up and looked at myself in the mirror. I found a old dress that was my mothers and put it on. I looked just like her. A tear rolled down my cheek and I went out the door.
I meet Jory at the bistro and wave. I couldn't help but gawk at the way he was dressed. I asked him on a date to a fancy restaurant so he wears a swim suit! My plans where immediatly foiled, I wasn't going in there to eat. At least not with him looking like this. Instead we just sat down and ordered.
"So, Jory. Uhh. What did you do today?" I ask while raising my eyebrow.
Jory glanced at me and looked at his plate, "I'm just trying to get rid of some weight. I gain it so fast!" I chewed on the thought for a bit and decided that maybe he just got finished swimming, "Sadie, I can't stay after we eat. I have-" He paused and looked around, hid his mouth and whispered, "A job interview!"
"Isn't that great! What job did you apply for?" I became moderately interested and we talked until we finished our food.
I got up and kissed him goodbye, "Good luck and see you later!" I watched him go knowing that his wild dreams of becoming a police officer was very slim. I left for home, noting to myself that people where starting to watch my every move. Studying me in every way. I peddled down the street with a passion to go home and eat ice-cream with grilled cheese. My bike hit the pavement and bounced off as I ran into the house to make myself a sandwich.
You see, I thought everything was going great. That is until I had to use the stove. I grabbed the pan and put it on thinking it would just magicly work out okay.
And it did, it came out fine. But the thing that did catch on fire was my rug. I must have forgot to put out the fire. I quickly called 911 and explained what happened. I took my extinguisher off the wall and got to work, pelting the flames, trying to keep it under control until the firemen came. My house started to fill up with smoke and two men jumped through my door. I let them have at the fire.
I coughed a bit, "Thanks, for coming down here." I flashed my best smile.
"Just don't let it happen again." He stormed off in a fury and slammed the door. I looked at the time and started to head out to the park.
I got to the park to find out that Jory was already there waiting for me. I walked over and started to chat.
"Sorry I was late. I had to put out a fire." I winked my eye as I said this. Jory's eyes grew big and started to pelt me with questions.
"Was the fire scary? Did it wreck anything? Are you okay?" each question he asked made his eyes get bigger and bigger.
"Sure, the fire was scary. Though it was nothing to panic about. It didn't really do anything but dirty up my floor and I'm fine, I am here now right?" I paused and thought about the fire and by just doing that I cringed. "Jory?"
"Yeah?" He looked me in the eye.
I took a breath and turned to face him, "Jory. I'd like to be something more. Something more..." I paused for the right word, "Tied down." I smiled my smile and looked away, "Jory would you like to, you know? Uhh. Date." I watched his expression go from confusion to understanding, his addams apple bobbing up and down.
"Of course I would Sadie." He pulled me in.
"One more thing?" I say as the kiss ends.
"Anything?" he nods and waits for me to ask.
I get down on my knee and start to pull out a beautiful blue velvet box. His eyes widen in surprise.
"Jory Harlow? Will you marry me?"
**That's it! I know! Cliff hanger! Comment and tell me what you think!**
BEEP-BEEP-BEEP

I walk over to my plants and shower them with water, thinking back to when I was a kid. My life seemed perfect then. I finish in the garden and decide to clean the house up a bit. I grabbed my delicates and put them in the washer. Two days off was a long time. I thought about Jory and decided to stop by his house after my laundry was done. I walked over and grabbed my guitar.
I played a few songs and started to jam. The washer started to beep and I glared at it. That darn thing used so much water. It was almost hard to be eco-friendly. I pick up the clothes and hang them on the line. I look around and start to go unchain my bike. Jory, here I come. The commute to Jory's house was pretty far, but it didn't take to long. I got off my bike and sucked in a breath. -What if he thinks I'm a stalker or something?- I pause at the walkway and think about what to say. Chapter 1.2: Your The One I Want
I got home and picked up the paper. I wanted to know the facts of Riverview. Of course the newspaper wasn't that exiting but I wanted to know who did what and when they did it.
I flipped the page and saw that Buzz Rhodes died. I took a deep breath and scanned over the article. I was halfway down when my gut told me to put the paper down. I folded it neatly up then made a mad dash for my bed. I lay there wondering what I was afraid of in the paper. I shook it off and drifted to sleep.
I awoke to someone calling me. I instantly flipped open my phone, "Hello?" I waited for a response.
"Sadie? It's Jory. We should hang out." I thought about it and looked at the time.
"Sure, I need time to get ready. Where do you wanna meet?" I said as I walked to the bathroom, "Okay, 20 minutes" I hung up and instantly sprang into action. I washed up and got working on my hair and teeth.
I finally got myself ready and was just about to leave the house when I decided that the guitar should come with me. I picked it up and thought about my family. I should go see them sometime. They are after all, going to pass on soon. I sighed and looked at the door. -BEEP-BEEP-
I grabbed my phone out of my pocket. It was grandma, "Hey Grandma! How is it going"
I heard a sigh and instantly felt bad, "Oh nothing much at all sweety. Have you found a man yet? You know that me and Alex would really like to see you get married before we passed on..." Grandma just knew that was my vulnerable spot.
"Well, you see I have found a man. I'm not sure if he is the one yet. He asked me to go on a date and I said yes, and speaking of the date Ma. I think I should get going. Ill stop by soon and talk to you in person okay?" We both agreed about me stopping by and I hung up the phone and left.
I got to the park before Jory did and I pulled out my trusty guitar. I strummed a few notes out when Jory came over, "Hey Sadie. That was beautiful. I never knew that you could play the guitar!" We jabbered on for a bit and I reached for him.
"Oh Jory! Its so nice to see you!" I pulled him into a hug and he squeezed me back. I pulled back and gazed into his eyes looking for what I wanted to see. I saw it. I saw love.
Jory grabbed my hands and smiled, "Sadie. You look beautiful today." I must have blushed. This was the perfect moment right here. I had to take the leap.
I looked away and to be true my mind was spinning thinking about all the things that could happen. My stomach fluttered and a clenched my fist to control my feelings. "Sadie? Are you--" I cut him off.
"Ok-mmmay?" He looked surprised. I, Sadie Green just kissed a guy. He looked at me and I knew that I just brought our relationship up another level. I wanted him to be my boyfriend but I fought my feelings. I'd wait a little longer. I had to do something about my feelings though. I said almost out of breath, "Catch me."
He caught me with strong reassuring arms. He set me down and I looked at my watch. "Its almost time for me to go to work." I sighed, "I'd really like to see you again." He nodded and I kissed him good bye.
I left for work and again my thoughts were jumbled.
I left work pumped by the rock concert that was going on. I just felt so pumped that I just stood there yelling at the air. I finally collected myself and biked home. I walked in and realized how I must have looked like a fool. Standing there screaming my head off.
I could only hope that I wouldn't be labeled a freak.
